CASE SCENARIO-1

A 55 years old female patient from rural area presented after falling down from standing height of 8 months duration. She gets injured her right arm and it was closed.

She visited traditional bone setters and was managed there by applying bamboo splint many times by different traditional bone setters. She came to our hospital for the complaint of inability to use her left upper extremity with abnormal movement at the injury site.

On Musculoskeletal examination, she has atrophied and deformed left arm with weak grip of the hand. Radial nerve function is intact. There is abnormal movement at the fracture site which move like a joint at the mid of the arm. X-ray shows non-united and severe osteopenia of the bone for which she is admitted and operated.
