CASE SCENARIO 17
A 25-year-old female presented to our facility ten days after a sustained road traffic accident. She was a passenger on a motorbike that suddenly lost control and rolled over, resulting in injury to her right wrist. She experienced pain and bleeding from the injured area. Prior to seeking medical attention, she visited a traditional bone setter who provided massage therapy, herbal medication, and applied a bamboo splint. Currently, she complains of discharge from the wound, which measures 3 cm by 4 cm on the right wrist. The wrist is also deformed and tender. Currently she is diagnosed with right open infected distal radius fracture with intra articular extension and managed accordingly.
